Southeastern University is currently accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Piano. Master's degree is required; doctorate strongly preferred.
Strong solo and collaborative performance skills required; background in jazz a definite plus. Record of university teaching and/or significant professional experience in piano required. Ability to recruit and retain students is expected.
Duties will be teaching applied piano to a variety of music majors and servicing the needs of the Music Department in other areas of expertise which will include solo and collaborative concerts such as piano trio, music theory instruction (conceptual and aural), and class piano instruction.
Other areas of personal musical strength are welcomed.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
